Standing tall at the entrance to the Des Moines airport, Alice Aycock's Liftoff welcomes visitors to the community. When the Greater Des Moines Public Art Foundation welcomed Aycock back to the city for the sculpture's dedication weekend, Studio Process photographed the reception event and filmed the lecture so the public has access to it on their channels. We also created this shorter video to highlight the process behind Aycock's vision and completion of Liftoff and her overall practice as an artist.
